Why Can't We Walk Straight?
About this video
Robert Krulwich on our inability to walk in a straight line when blindfolded.
Unless we have a visible guide point, like the Sun or a star, it’s impossible for us to walk in a straight line.
As this video from NPR reveals, if you blindfold a man and ask him to walk straight across a field, he’s doomed to end up walking in circles. The same is true of driving blindfold.
We seem to have an inbuilt tendency to deviate and move in circles but no one knows why.
