Sharon Shattuck and Flora Lichtman demonstarte that there's life after death in the deep ocean. With the use of beautifully crafted paper models, this animation depicts the four stages of life that feed upon the carcasses of dead whales. From the initial rattail fish to the final polychaete worm, a single whale 'fall' can sustain life for nearly three quarters of a century.
