With the use of clever visuals, Sir David Attenborough guides us through the journey of life in this video produced by the BBC in collaboration with the Wellcome Trust.

Overlaying animation with live action, Attenborough takes us back to the humbling origins of life on Earth. From the initial single-celled organisms, to the complex multi-cellular monsters that were the dinosaurs, the tree of life represents a diverse and dynamic history of natural evolution.

The video offers an introduction to the Wellcome Trust's interactive website produced with the BBC and the Open University to celebrate the work of Darwin. All files used in the project are freely available to edit and use under a Creative Commons licence.
