Curiosity's Descent

Heart stopping stop motion.

The Curiosity Mars Descent Imager (MARDI) captured the rover's descent to the surface of the Red Planet.

Shooting at 4 frames per second the film was stitched together from 297 separate images and captures the 2.30 minutes leading up to Curiosity's tough down the Red Planet.
